Lainey Wilson Sweeps 2025 CMA Awards; Ella Langley and Zach Top Score Big Wins

Lainey Wilson dominated the 2025 Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, securing several of the night’s biggest honours and reinforcing her position as one of country music’s leading voices.

Wilson won Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for Whirlwind, marking one of the strongest showings of her career. She also hosted the ceremony at Bridgestone Arena and delivered one of the most talked-about performances of the night.

Ella Langley was another standout of the night, taking home three awards alongside Riley Green. Their track you look like you love me earned both Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year, while Langley also claimed Song of the Year for you look like you love you, which she co-wrote with Green and Aaron Raitiere. The trio of wins highlighted her rapid rise in the country scene.

Zach Top earned New Artist of the Year, marking a defining moment after a year of growing momentum. Cody Johnson secured Male Vocalist of the Year, while Brooks and Dunn added another Vocal Duo of the Year award to their long-running record.

The Red Clay Strays continued their breakthrough year with a win for Vocal Group of the Year. Steel guitarist Paul Franklin was named Musician of the Year, adding to his long list of achievements.

This year’s CMAs showcased a blend of established stars and new voices, reflecting a genre that continues to evolve through streaming growth, fresh collaborations and a widening audience.
