Meghan Markle has opened up about the encouragement she shares with her children, Archie and Lilibet, offering a look at her approach to parenting as she balances family life, work and public attention.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the Duchess of Sussex reflected on raising her six-year-old son and four-year-old daughter, describing this stage as a time when both children are “constantly learning something new”. She said she often reminds them that difficult moments are temporary, adding that challenges can feel overwhelming before they eventually become familiar.

“I watch them face things that seem completely insurmountable at times, but I remind them that what feels hard now will come more easily soon,” she said. Markle added that she is trying to apply the same advice to herself, noting that no parent gets everything right. “I try to give myself the same grace. No one is perfect. I also make mistakes.”

Markle also spoke about the support she receives from Prince Harry, explaining that his optimism and curiosity have shaped the way they parent together. She said he brings a sense of playfulness to their home life and that his steady encouragement helps her feel grounded.

Alongside discussing her children, the Duchess highlighted the latest release from her lifestyle brand, As Ever. This week, she appeared in a new promotional video for the holiday collection, setting a festive table decorated with greenery, velvet napkins and seasonal dishes. She wore a satin slip dress by designer Heidi Merrick in the short clip, which gives a look at the brand’s holiday aesthetic.
