WEB DESK: In yet another sequel arriving decades later, another beloved classic appears set for potential tarnishing.
Warner Bros has officially announced plans for a sequel to the beloved 1998 film “Practical Magic,” featuring the enchanting Nicole Kidman and the timeless Sandra Bullock.

The news ignited enough interest that the announcement is practically trending on Google. Fans of the original film appear particularly enthusiastic, eager to set aside adult responsibilities and worries to indulge in the nostalgia-bait that is so frequently seen each year.
Griffin Dunne directed the original movie Practical Magic, based on Alice Hoffman’s novel.
In the sequel, Kidman and Bullock will return to their roles as the mystical Owens sisters, Sally and Gillian, respectively. Akiva Goldsman will be responsible for writing the screenplay, with Kidman and Bullock serving as producers alongside Denise Di Novi.

Rumours of a sequel had circulated for years, including discussions about a potential HBO Max spinoff series based on Alice Hoffman’s prequel novel. However, such projects never came to fruition.
