Al-Nassr vs Al-Zawraa: Cristiano Ronaldo set to feature in AFC Champions League-2

Al-Nassr returns to action on Wednesday, Dec 24, as they face Al-Zawraa in the AFC Champions League Two. Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make his debut in the competition, giving fans a first glimpse of the Portuguese superstar in continental play this season.

Al-Nassr has not played an official match since November 26, when they defeated Istiklol 4-0 without Ronaldo. They did, however, participate in a friendly on December 10, beating Al Wahda 4-2 with Ronaldo among the scorers. The Saudi Pro League leaders are now focused on maintaining their domestic dominance while preparing for the knockout stages of the continental tournament.

Head coach Jorge Jesus confirmed that Ronaldo will be part of the squad, making it highly likely he will see playing time. Al-Nassr has won all five of its group stage matches in the AFC Champions League Two so far, but the club has prioritised the Saudi Pro League, where they currently lead the standings.

Al-Zawraa, sitting second in Group D with nine points, defeated FC Goa in their last outing and needs to avoid defeat to advance. The match kicks off at 11 am ET / 8 am PT in the United States and 7 pm local time in Riyadh at Al Awwal Park.
