Alipay+ partners with NayaPay: Pakistanis can now make global QR payments

Pakistani consumers can now make secure and seamless payments around the world using QR codes, thanks to a new service launched by NayaPay in collaboration with Alipay+.

This feature allows users to scan and pay at millions of merchants in over 50 countries, spanning a wide range of industries including retail, dining, transportation, healthcare, and entertainment.

By integrating with Alipay+, now Pakistan’s NayaPay users can pay internationally, in easier transactions while traveling, studying, or working abroad. The new QR payment option simplifies the checkout process by allowing users to pay directly from their NayaPay wallets, reducing transaction fees and improving the overall payment experience.

With Alipay+’s extensive network, which connects more than 150 million merchants worldwide, Pakistani users can now pay securely and conveniently wherever they go. The service also benefits from a robust system that integrates 40 international mobile payment platforms, ensuring that Pakistani consumers can access the same trusted payment experience they would at home.

This update follows NayaPay’s previous integration with Alipay+ in 2024, when the platform became the first fintech in Pakistan to enable QR payments at over 80 million merchants across China. With this expanded service, NayaPay now brings a similar seamless experience to a much broader international market, offering users greater flexibility and ease when making cross-border payments.

Last week, the State Bank of Pakistan governor announced the launch of a new “co-badged card”. It came as part of country’s efforts to enhance its digital payment system, making it more affordable for the general public. As part of this initiative, Faysal Bank launched the co-badged card in partnership with Mastercard and Pakistan’s national payment scheme, PayPak.

Co-badging allows a single card or platform to support multiple networks, providing users with access to a broader range of services.
