WEB DESK: Pakistan’s security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Kalat on December 24, targeting terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Thursday.

During the operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between security personnel and the terrorists. Eight terrorists were killed, and authorities recovered a large cache of weapons and explosive materials from their hideout. The militants were reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the area.

ISPR stated that sanitization operations are ongoing to clear the region of remaining Indian-backed terrorists. The action was part of Pakistan’s broader anti-terrorism initiative under the “Azm-e-Istiqamat” vision, aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

The ISPR stressed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to continuing operations against foreign-sponsored terrorist networks to ensure national security and public safety.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised Pakistan’s security forces for their successful operation in Kalat, which resulted in the elimination of eight terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Hindustan.

The Prime Minister lauded the forces for their professionalism and effectiveness, highlighting that under the “Azm-e-Istiqamat” vision, security agencies have been achieving significant victories against terrorism. He emphasized that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces in this fight and reaffirmed the government’s determination to eradicate all forms of terrorism from Pakistan.
