Field Marshal Asim Munir attends Christmas celebrations at Christ Church Rawalpindi


WEB DESK: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir visited Christ Church in Rawalpindi and took part in Christmas celebrations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

During the visit, the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces extended warm Christmas greetings to members of the Christian community and conveyed his best wishes for peace, harmony and prosperity. He also paid tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his birth anniversary, highlighting the founder of Pakistan’s vision of equality and religious freedom.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed the importance of interfaith harmony and national unity, describing the protection of minority rights as a fundamental pillar of Pakistan’s ideology.

He lauded the Christian community for its valuable contributions to national development and security, noting that members of the community have rendered proud and exemplary services in the armed forces across generations.

He said Pakistan’s strength lies in equal opportunities and adherence to constitutional values, reaffirming that equality and freedom of religion, in line with Quaid-i-Azam’s vision, form the very foundation of the country.
