KOHLU: Security forces killed five India-sponsored Khawarij terrorists during an operation in the Kohlu area of Balochistan, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to ISPR, during the intelligence-based operation, security forces successfully targeted the hideout of the terrorists and recovered weapons, ammunition and explosives.

The operation is under way in the area to neutralise other potential threats from the terrorists, the ISPR statement said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their action, saying the terrorists’ evil plans will be crushed.

The PM said that the entire nation stands with the security forces in the fight against terrorism and Pakistan is determined to eliminate all forms of terrorism.

Earlier on December 24, Pakistan’s security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Kalat, targeting terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al-Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Thursday.

During the operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between security personnel and the terrorists. Eight terrorists were killed, and authorities recovered a large cache of weapons and explosive materials from their hideout. The militants were reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the area.
