Ghandhara Industries Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with China’s Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. Ltd. to introduce luxury buses in Pakistan, according to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday.
The agreement covers both the distribution of Completely Built-Up (CBU) Zhongtong buses and their local assembly, representing a significant expansion of Ghandhara’s commercial vehicle portfolio. To facilitate this, Ghandhara will establish a new bus manufacturing line alongside its existing bus body fabrication plant.
The company plans to launch the CBU luxury buses in the first quarter of 2026, while local assembly is expected to begin by mid-2026, pending regulatory approvals and completion of the plant expansion. The move is seen as a response to rising demand in Pakistan’s premium intercity and high-capacity passenger transport sector.
Industry experts note that the collaboration could reshape the local luxury bus market and strengthen Ghandhara’s position as a key player in commercial transportation. Analysts believe the partnership aligns with the broader trend of international automotive companies entering the Pakistani market, offering high-end options for passengers.
In a separate context of online attention, Pakistan has also been witnessing a surge in social media engagement with “viral video 19 minutes” clips and other trending content, joining the list of India viral videos that dominate cross-border platforms. Observers suggest the growing interest in viral video content reflects a shift in how users consume news and entertainment, paralleling trends seen in India viral videos that capture millions of views within hours.
This dual focus on industrial growth and digital trends highlights the dynamic environment in Pakistan, where advancements in technology, commerce, and social media are shaping both markets and public attention.
