PAK Under-19 vs IND Under-19: Green Shirts defeat Men in Blue by 191 runs

DUBAI: PAK U-19 VS IND U-19 ended in a commanding victory for Green Shirts U-19 as Pakistan defeated India by 191 runs in a one-sided encounter in Dubai.

In the final clash of Pakistan U-19 vs India U-19, Pakistan posted a massive first-innings total of 348 for eight, thanks to destructive knocks from Sameer Minhas and Ahmed Hussain. Their partnership laid the foundation for an almost unassailable target for India.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to field first, hoping to restrict the Green Shirts to a modest total. However, Pakistan’s U-19 batsmen dominated from the start, keeping the Indian bowlers under control throughout their innings.

Pakistan U-19 Batting Line

Pakistan opened with Hamza Zahoor and Sameer Minhas. Hamza scored 18 off 14 balls before being dismissed by Henil Patel in the third over, while Sameer remained at the crease.

Usman Khan came in after the first wicket fell and played a supportive knock of 35 runs, helping top-order batsman Sameer Minhas build a solid innings.

Sameer played a magnificent innings of 172, featuring 17 boundaries and 9 sixes, leading Pakistan’s commanding batting display. He received solid support from Ahmed Hussain, who contributed 56, helping the team post a challenging total.

India U-19 Batting Line

In response, India U-19 struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling, being bowled out for 156 in 26.2 overs.

India U-19 sent Vaibhav Suryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre to open, but they failed to put pressure on Pakistan, as the Pakistan U-19 bowlers dismissed them cheaply for 26 and 2 respectively.

Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra came in looking to regain momentum for India. However, their efforts backfired, as Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan dismissed them respectively. George managed 16 off 9 balls, while Malhotra scored 7 off 13 before falling.

The collapse deepened after Pak U-19 bowlers crushed key wickets of the arch-rivals.

Vedant Trivedi (9) found short midwicket, and Abhigyan Kundu (13) upper-cut to deep third. Kanishk Chouhan (9) and Khilan Patel (19) offered brief resistance, but regular strikes kept India on the back foot.

Deepesh Devendran added late entertainment with a 16-ball quickfire 36 (featuring six fours and two sixes), but his fall ended any lingering hopes.

For Pakistan, Ali Raza claimed 4 for 42, while Abdul Subhan and off-spinner Huzaifa Ahsan picked up 2 wickets each for 29 and 12 runs respectively. Mohammad Sayyam supported with 2 for 38.
