NEW DELHI: In the IND-W vs SL-W, India Women produced another commanding performance tonight to seal the T20I series against Sri Lanka Women with a 30-run victory, taking an unassailable 4–0 lead in the five-match contest.
Batting first, India were in complete control from the outset, posting a formidable 221 for 2 in 20 overs. The foundation was laid by an outstanding opening partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, who dismantled the Sri Lankan bowling attack with confidence and flair. Mandhana top-scored with a fluent 80 off 48 balls, while Shafali matched her intensity with a powerful 79 off 46 deliveries, keeping the run rate high throughout the innings.
India’s dominance continued in the latter stages as Richa Ghosh provided a blistering finish, remaining unbeaten on 40 off just 16 balls, while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur added quick runs to push the total beyond the 220 mark.
Chasing a daunting target of 222, Sri Lanka Women showed determination but were always playing catch-up. Despite managing 191 for 6 in their 20 overs, the required rate proved too steep against India’s disciplined bowling and sharp fielding.

The 30-run win underlined India Women’s supremacy in the series, showcasing their batting depth, composure, and consistency. With the series already secured, India will head into the final match brimming with confidence, while Sri Lanka will look to regroup and end the tour on a positive note.
