ISLAMABAD: Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Organizer of the PML-N, is slated to depart for London next week, following a summons from her father.
Her visit is anticipated to last for one week during which she will convene with Nawaz Sharif.
Sources within the PML-N have disclosed that Maryam will provide her father with a comprehensive briefing regarding the party’s plans for his welcome in Pakistan. Additionally, they will engage in consultations concerning political and constitutional matters.
Insiders have indicated that Nawaz Sharif will solidify the strategy for his return to Pakistan. Upon Maryam’s return, the PML-N will formulate the plan to welcome Nawaz Sharif in Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz to hold interviews for picking female office-bearers
Previously, former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar affirmed that there are no impediments to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s participation in elections.
He underscored that Article 62 (1) (f), which reduced the disqualification sentence to five years, was enacted by Parliament and subsequently approved by the President.
Ishaq Dar clarified that, following the approval of Article 62 (1) (f), former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) head Jahangir Tareen are now eligible to participate in elections.
