Millie Bobby Brown has explained why she was unable to appear in the Good Morning America studio as planned this week.
The Stranger Things star, 21, was scheduled to join the US breakfast show on Monday, December 15, alongside her co-star Noah Schnapp. However, she instead appeared via video link after suffering an injury.
Addressing viewers from home, Brown revealed she had “taken a fall” and appeared on screen with her arm supported in a black sling. Despite missing the in-person appearance, she said she still wanted to take part in the broadcast.
“I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys,” Brown told the show, before joking that she still wanted to make the moment about herself.
Schnapp, who appeared live in the studio, said he was “so sad” Brown could not join him in person. The pair have remained close friends since rising to fame together on Stranger Things, with Schnapp recently revealing he is the godfather to Brown’s baby daughter.
During her brief appearance, Brown also asked her co-star about his favourite holiday traditions before signing off with a message of love to the hosts and audience.
The actress, who recently became a first-time mother with husband Jake Bongiovi, has previously been forced to miss public appearances due to injury. In 2018, she skipped the MTV Movie and TV Awards after splitting her kneecap, explaining at the time that doctors had advised her to rest.
No further details were shared about the extent of her latest injury, but Brown appeared in good spirits and did not suggest it would affect her upcoming work commitments.
