Nubia foldable lineup leaks online as company prepares rival to Galaxy Z Fold 7

Nubia ZTE Fold

Nubia appears to be gearing up for a bigger push into the foldable phone market after a new leak hinted at two upcoming devices, including what is expected to be the company’s first book-style foldable.

The reveal has sparked fresh interest in ZTE’s sub-brand, which has spent the past few years experimenting with clamshell designs but has yet to offer a direct rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series.

First look at Nubia’s book-style foldable

The leak, shared by tipster Evan Blass on X, included images that reportedly show the new device in its unfolded form. The screen has neat and even bezels, with a camera placed in the top right corner. The back of the phone features a large camera block occupying much of the upper portion, though the four visible circular cutouts may not all house actual lenses, similar to the layout used on the RedMagic 11 Pro Plus.

A technical sketch also surfaced alongside the images, offering a glimpse of the phone’s layout. It suggests that the outer display will have a centred punch hole for the selfie camera and shows the positions of the SIM slot, speakers, microphones, and USB-C port. The leak did not include details about display size, chipset or battery capacity, leaving much of the phone’s specifications open to speculation.

Nubia Flip 3 gets major design shift

The second device in the leak is the Nubia Flip 3, the brand’s next clamshell foldable. Nubia has been known for trying different design ideas with each generation, and leaked images suggest that trend is continuing. The original Nubia Flip arrived with a circular cover screen, while the Flip 2 switched to a rectangular portrait-style panel earlier this year.

Now the Flip 3 appears to change direction again. Its cover display seems to run across the full width of the device and curves around the camera area in a style that resembles Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra. The images show two rear cameras, though the flash sits separately on the lower half of the phone, a placement also seen on the Magic V Flip 2.

Launch timeline remains unclear

Little else is known about the two foldables. Nubia has not confirmed any details, and the leak did not hint at possible launch windows. Some industry watchers believe the company could make an announcement before the year closes, while others expect an early 2026 reveal.

For now, the leak has given enthusiasts the first real look at what could become Nubia’s most ambitious foldable lineup yet, as the brand works to stake its place in an increasingly competitive market.
