Our field marshal will punish anyone who attacks Pakistan: Zardari

Garhi Khuda Bakhsh: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that India calls itself a country 10 times bigger than us, but where will it find a brave field marshal like ours? We showed mercy to India; otherwise, more of their aircraft could have been downed. If anyone imposes war on us, our field marshal will make them pay a heavy price.

Addressing a gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the occasion of the 18th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto, he said that the day of BB’s martyrdom was meant to divide us, but I raised the slogan of “Pakistan Khappay” in accordance with what her soul was saying.

He said Pakistan will exist until the Day of Judgment because our armed forces looked India in the eye and gave such a fitting response that they realised this is not a game.

“Modi also understood that war is not a game; Pakistan is Pakistan. We are Muslims and desirous of martyrdom.”

The president said that people showed restraint, otherwise India would have realised, and the falcons of the Pakistan Air Force would have shot down all of their aircraft, including Vikram.

“If any country ever dares again, remember that Asif Zardari, the Pakistan Peoples Party, and the heirs of Bhutto are here,” he said.

He said we are ready for the battlefield, we will take up arms and lay down our lives. “What will you kill us with? We will shoot you,” he said. India claims to be ten times bigger than us, yet “it could not stand on its feet for four days.”

Addressing India, President Zardari said: “Where will you find the courage that our field marshal, prime minister, and air chief possess? For that, one must hope and pray for martyrdom. I had already said four days earlier that there would be war.”

Asif Ali Zardari said that during the war in May, his military secretary advised him to move to a bunker, but he refused, saying that death would come there as well. “I am ready for martyrdom,” he added.

He said that if ever needed again, they were ready to sacrifice life and wealth, as Pakistan and its people must be protected.

The president said he had never called on workers to take to the streets and had always said he would face matters himself. “This is what I learned from BB; we alone are enough for the enemy.”

Zardari said that our future generations and generations after them will also fight the enemies of Pakistan. He clarified that “we are not fond of war, but if anyone grabs us by the collar, we will retaliate.”

He said, “We have such a chief sitting there who will give a very strong response; we have already made arrangements.” President Zardari added that there are problems and difficulties in the country, which will gradually decrease. “One foolish person ruined relations and destroyed the economy in four and a half years, but our relations have now started to improve, and General Asim Munir is with us in this as well.”

Asif Zardari said that it is the Pakistan People’s Party and the people who have made Asim Munir a field marshal. “Sleep without worry; I am the guarantor of your coming generations.”
