ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned threats made against a Field Marshal during a protest outside the Pakistani consulate in Bradford, UK. The government has issued a formal demarche to the UK’s Acting High Commissioner, expressing serious concern over the incident.

Sources indicate that the protest was organised using the official account of a Pakistani political party in the UK. Protesters reportedly used provocative and objectionable language against the Field Marshal and openly threatened his life, including calls for a car bomb attack.

The Pakistani government described the threats as a grave matter, emphasising that such actions exceed freedom of expression and amount to direct incitement to terrorism. Islamabad has urged the British authorities to ensure that their territory is not used to destabilise Pakistan.

Pakistan has called for strict legal action against those responsible and expects the perpetrators to be held accountable under the law.
