PM Shehbaz, Turkmen president Berdymukhammedov stress boosting bilateral cooperation

ASHGABAT: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdymukhammedov on Monday reaffirmed the importance of the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
The PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and agreed that enhanced connectivity through land and sea routes would help expand partnership between the two countries.
The premier conveyed good wishes for the Turkmen leadership and people, and invited President Berdymukhammedov to visit Pakistan next year. He also thanked the Turkmen government for its warm hospitality.
President Berdymukhammedov appreciated the Prime Minister’s visit and participation in the global peace forum, expressing readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Both sides discussed advancing collaboration in economic, trade, energy and regional connectivity sectors to further strengthen bilateral ties and build mutual trust.
