ISLAMABAD: The Yellow-throated Marten, a rarely seen wild animal, has been observed on Trail 7 of the Margalla Hills National Park, according to the Islamabad Wildlife Board.

Officials described the sighting as a significant and positive development, noting that the presence of this alert species is an indicator of a healthy and ecologically balanced environment.

“The appearance of the Yellow-throated Marten in a protected area like the Margalla Hills shows that the natural ecosystem here remains strong,” the board said.

Wildlife experts say such rare sightings underscore the importance of conserving natural habitats and remind visitors of the need to maintain harmony between human activity and nature.

The board urged park visitors to follow designated trails, avoid disturbing wildlife, and play their part in preserving the environment in its natural state.
