LONDON: Belgian international Alexis Saelemaekers has extended his contract with AC Milan until 2031, the Serie A club confirmed on Monday.
“AC Milan are delighted to announce that Alexis Saelemaekers has renewed his contract with the Club until 30 June 2031, with effect from 1 July 2026,” the club said in a statement.
The 26-year-old joined Milan from Anderlecht in 2020 and has since made 159 appearances, scoring 12 goals. He featured in all but two matches—mostly as a substitute—as Milan won the Serie A title in the 2021–22 season.
Saelemaekers spent the last two seasons on loan, playing for Roma last season and Bologna the season before. Since returning to Milan, the Belgium international—who has earned 21 caps—has started all 15 league matches this season, scoring two goals, as Milan sit second in Serie A.
“Alexis has grown each season, standing out for his professionalism, selflessness and strong sense of belonging, embodying the club’s values on and off the pitch,” Milan added.
