Saudi Arabia’s Qatif Street Food Festival has officially begun in the eastern city of Qatif, offering visitors a vibrant celebration of the Kingdom’s rich culinary heritage. The festival will continue until December 30.
Organised by the Culinary Arts Commission, the event offers a unique cultural experience that showcases the authenticity and diversity of Saudi cuisine, while highlighting the role of traditional food in the Kingdom’s modern cultural landscape.
Saudi food culture is being showcased as a key element of national identity, with expert chefs preparing traditional dishes at live cooking stations, allowing visitors to witness age-old cooking techniques up close.
The festival features six dedicated pavilions, where visitors can sample a wide range of foods and beverages made from local ingredients. These offerings reflect Saudi Arabia’s diverse regions, environments and distinctive flavors.
In addition to food, the festival includes several cultural activities aimed at enriching the visitor experience and promoting food as both an artistic and educational journey. Special pavilions have also been set up for children, making the event a family-friendly attraction.
