Earlier on Monday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the hope that “this positive step will lead to an end to tensions on the border between the two countries”.

To tackle the issue of terrorism originating from Afghanistan, Turkiye will host the next round of talks on Oct 25 to finalise the details to cover the issue of defining the mechanism to monitor that the Afghan territory isn’t used for carrying out terrorists attacks on Pakistan.

Earlier, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told Reuters on Monday that the ceasefire agreement with the Afghan Taliban hinges on their ability to rein in militant attacks on Pakistan from their soil.
