Schedule for Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I series unveiled


LAHORE: Pakistan men’s team will travel to Bangladesh next month to take part in a three-match bilateral T20I series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed Wedensday.

According to a statement by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Pakistan will arrive in Dhaka on July 16 before taking on the home side in the first T20I on Sunday, July 20.

The second T20I will take place on Tuesday, July 22, with the third and final match of the series scheduled for Thursday, July 24.

All three T20Is will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, with the first ball of each match scheduled to be bowled at 6pm local time.

The two sides last met in a three-match T20I series at the Gaddafi Stadium recently, where the home side completed a clean sweep over the visitors.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the T20I series will act as a preparation in sub-continental conditions for the two teams with next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup on the horizon.

Bangladesh are currently in the middle of an all-format tour of Sri Lanka – two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is.

The tourists had drawn the Test series opener in Galle and are featuring in the second Test in Colombo. The two-match series marked the beginning of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle.
