Snoop Dogg took over Christmas Day as the headliner of Netflix’s 2025 NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show, delivering a festive, high-energy performance streamed live to a global audience.

The rapper fronted Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party during the Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings matchup on December 25, broadcast worldwide on Netflix from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

A lifelong football fan and cultural icon, Snoop leaned fully into the holiday spirit, blending classic hits with seasonal theatrics and a rotating cast of surprise guests to turn the halftime slot into a standout moment of the day.

The show opened with Martha Stewart putting her own spin on ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, before Snoop took the stage backed by a 30-person choir, drummer boys and a group of dancers known as the “Snoopettes”. He ran through fan favourites including Nuthin’ but a G ThangWho Am I (What’s My Name)? and Drop It Like It’s Hot.

Country star Lainey Wilson added her own festive touch with Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, while HUNTR/X, the voices behind Netflix hit KPOP Demon Hunters, made their NFL debut with a gold-themed rendition of 12 Days of Christmas.

The biggest surprise came at the end of the set, when opera legends Andrea Bocelli and Matteo Bocelli appeared to close the show with a soaring performance of White Christmas.

The halftime spectacle formed part of Netflix’s second annual NFL Christmas Gameday, which featured two NFC matchups and followed the record-breaking success of the platform’s 2024 debut. Last year’s games became the most streamed NFL fixtures in US history, with Beyoncé’s headline-making halftime performance setting the tone for the holiday tradition.

This year, Snoop Dogg ensured the Christmas Gameday spotlight stayed firmly on music, spectacle and star power.
