The White House has responded after SZA criticised the administration for using one of her songs in a pro-ICE video posted to its official X account.

The clip, shared on Monday, shows armed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents carrying out operations, paired with the singer’s track Big Boy and the caption: “We heard it’s cuffing szn. Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.”
SZA posted her reaction on Wednesday, accusing the White House of “rage baiting artists for free promo” and calling the tactic “evil and boring”.

When asked for comment, a White House spokesperson gave a surprisingly warm reply. Abigail Jackson said: “Thank you, SZA, for drawing even more attention to the tremendous work America’s ICE officers are doing by arresting dangerous criminal illegal aliens from American communities.”
The exchange has sparked widespread debate online, with fans questioning the use of the song and the administration’s tone in its response.
