WEB DESK: Pakistani esports star Arslan “Ash” Siddique, hailed globally as one of the greatest Tekken players in history, has announced the arrival of his first child, a baby boy.
Arslan shared the news with fans on Instagram and Facebook, posting a heartwarming photo showing his hand, his wife’s hand and their newborn’s tiny fingers. In his message, he expressed gratitude and introduced the baby as Muhammad Ayan, saying the new addition had brought a sense of completeness to their family.
The Lahore-born athlete, now a household name in the global gaming community, discovered his passion for Tekken at the age of eight while frequenting neighbourhood arcades. Although he briefly pursued chartered accountancy, he ultimately chose to follow his competitive gaming ambitions, a decision that transformed him into one of esports’ most decorated figures.
Arslan began participating in tournaments in 2010 and achieved worldwide recognition in 2019 when he became the first player to win both EVO Japan and EVO USA in the same year, unifying the titles at the world’s most prestigious fighting-game championship.
He continued to dominate the international scene, earning a podium finish at EVO 2022 and securing major Tekken 7 victories at EVO Japan 2023. He later claimed his fifth EVO title in 2024, followed by a sixth championship win in Las Vegas last August.
The gaming community has been quick to congratulate Arslan and his family as they celebrate this new chapter.
