The agency has also filed cases against two other YouTubers, Insa Ali and Hiraira, for promoting gambling activities.
It merits mentioning that popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai is also facing similar charges. He is accused of promoting unregistered gambling apps through his YouTube and other social media platforms, allegedly causing financial losses to the public.
Ducky Bhai was arrested by the NCCIA on August 17 from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, and has remained in judicial custody since then.
Bail plea of YouTuber Ducky Bhai rejected
His lawyer, Advocate Chaudhry Usman Ali, filed a bail petition under Section 497 of the Criminal Procedure Code, arguing that the charges were weak and unsubstantiated.
The petition further claimed that the gambling apps featured in Ducky Bhai’s videos had not been declared illegal at the time of his alleged involvement.
