The CM announced that initially, the Senior Citizens Club will be launched from Peshawar. “Services will be provided to people above the age of 58 in the Senior Citizens Club,” Gandapur said, adding that free medical assistance will also be available to all senior citizens in the club.

The Club will have other facilities as well, including food and drink, indoor games, gym, and salon etc. “Residential rooms will also be built in the club where members can also temporarily stay,” CM Gandapur announced.

PTI VS PML-N

Yesterday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam had taken a jab at Gandapur, saying that he is trying to compete with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Punjab has launched multiple projects of public welfare including housing and education. Earlier, Gandapur’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had accused PML-N of ‘stealing’ PTI’s ‘Mera Ghar’ project.

GANDAPUR AND PTI BATTLES

On Saturday, PTI’s founder and former chairman Imran Khan had de-seated Gandapur from the party’s provincial presidency. Junaid Akbar has been appointed as PTI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa president. Sources familiar with the matter are attributing the change to the clashes between Gandapur and Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi – primarily with regards to the recent protests and rallies by the party.
