Thursday weather: dry conditions with a chill in the mountains

WEB DESK: The weather across most parts of the country on Thursday is expected to remain dry, with a notable chill in the mountainous regions during the night and early morning hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

Going region by region, the PMD predicts that Islamabad and its surroundings will experience dry weather throughout the day, offering a clear and pleasant outlook.
Likewise, most districts in Punjab will remain dry, though there is a slight possibility of cold temperatures in the hill stations of Murree, Galiyat, and nearby areas, especially during the night and early morning hours.
The southern province of Sindh will continue to face hot and dry conditions on Thursday, with no significant weather changes anticipated.
Dry weather will dominate most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, the mountainous regions are expected to experience a drop in temperatures, with cold conditions likely to set in at night and early morning.
The weather will remain dry in most districts across Balochistan as well. However, northern regions of the province may experience a noticeable chill after sunset, as temperatures dip in the late night and early morning hours.
A cold and dry spell is expected to prevail in Kashmir, with temperatures dropping significantly at night.

Like Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan will experience cold and dry weather, particularly in the higher-altitude areas, where temperatures are expected to fall further at night.
Residents of the northern regions are advised to prepare for cooler temperatures, particularly in the early hours of Thursday.
